Three Christmas Cards Using Mama Elephant’s “The Penguin’s Waddle” Stamp Set!

Hello lovelies!
I’m starting to get prepared for Christmas this year to avoid the last minute rush that usually happens late November/early December! If you’re looking for a way to make quick cards that are easy to make multiples of, “The Penguin’s Waddle” stamp set from Mama Elephant is perfect! I have three cards using this set to share with you today!
12
I cut three panels from white card stock using the second largest of Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts. I used my Misti stamping tool to stamp my penguins on my panels using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink, two vertically and one horizontally. I stamped a copy on some masking paper and carefully trimmed it out and placed my mask over my penguins on one of the vertical panels. I shifted my panel over to the side and stamped my second lot of penguins above my mask to create the fuller panel of penguins. I coloured my horizontal panel and my vertical panel with the most penguins using my alcohol markers, I also coloured the penguins on the second vertical panel but left the top portion of my panel white and fussy cut them out. I added highlights and details using a white gel pen, including some snow on the panels where I coloured the background.

I cut another panel from white card stock with the same die as before and blended it with Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered some water on my panel with a paintbrush and cleaned off the excess to give it the distressed look, this will be my “snow” for this card! Once my ink on the panel was dry I secured it in my Misti and stamped my “Warm Wishes” sentiment from Waffle Flower’s “Fall Greetings” stamp set directly on my panel using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink. I popped up my penguins I fussy cut earlier at the bottom using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape.
5
I secured my horizontal panel in to my Misti next and stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant’s “Snow Friends” stamp set also using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink.
6
I secured a strip of black card stock in to my Misti and prepped it with my powder tool applicator. I stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant’s “Cool Penguin” stamp set using Versamark ink, coated it in Lawn Fawn’s White embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. I trimmed it down to size and used my white gel pen to create the stitched effect around the sides. I popped my sentiment up using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape.
7
I cut three black panels using the largest of Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts. I adhered each of my panels to the black panels and to my card bases using Scor-Tape.

Autumnal Card Using Waffle Flower’s “Fall Greetings” Stamp Set!

Hello lovelies!
This week I wanted to share with you this autumnal card using Waffle Flower’s “Fall Greetings” stamp set! I absolutely love this set, the main image with the two little birds drew my attention right away!

I used the second largest of Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts to cut two panels from white card stock, cutting a window through one of them with Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Circles” Honey Cuts. I took my panel without the window and secured it in my Misti stamping tool. I stamped my image using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink in the centre towards the top of my panel so it would fit in my window I created.

I coloured my image and background with my alcohol markers, using a white gel pen to add highlights and details before adhering my panel with the window on top of my coloured panel using Scor-Tape.

I secured my panel in to my Misti again to stamp the second half of my sentiment using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink, I also stamped my “hello” sentiment on some white card stock, fussy cut it out and popped it up on my panel using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I used the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts to cut a frame for my panel and adhered both panels to my card base using Scor-Tape.
