Two Cards Using Waffle Flower’s “Office Birthday” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
This week I’m sharing two cards using Waffle Flower’s “Office Birthday” stamp set, both relatively simple to make!
P33 WF Office Birthday 2
I was instantly drawn to these adorable hamsters as soon as I saw this set! I had to make a birthday card using them and decided to go for a more masculine feel, keeping the hamsters as the pop of colour in the corner!
I stamped my images using my Misti stamping platform with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black ink. I coloured them with my alcohol markers, added some details and highlights with a white gel pen and fussy cut them out. I cut two panels using Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative cuts, the larger from black card stock and the smaller from white. I used the “Candy Store” stencil from Heffy Doodle, turned it on it’s side slightly so the corner reached across my white panel. I masked off the rest of my panel where I didn’t want to get ink before blending Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over my stencil. I sprayed my panel with my distress sprayer, cleaned up the excess water before splattering my panel with the same ink. I cut a small panel using Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Polygons” Honey Cuts from white card and adhered my hamsters to it as I would be using this for my focal point. I adhered the two back ones using Scor-Tape and the middle with some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I prepared a strip of black card stock with my powder tool applicator, stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using Lawn Fawn’s white embossing powder. I adhered my black strip across my panel using Scor-Tape and popped my polygon with my hamsters up on the bottom left using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I adhered my panels together and on to a card base before finishing with some Ebony Black Nuvo drops.
P33 WF Office Birthday 1
For my second card I cut two panels once again using the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I stamped the plant image across my panel using my Misti stamping tool and Gina K’s Amalgam Jet black ink. I created masks for all three and covered them so I could ink blend over my images. I used a piece of scrap card stock to make my own stencil for this one using Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Circles” Honey Cuts, adhered this temporarily over my white panel and blended within the circle using Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed the circle with my distress sprayer, cleaned up the excess water, splattered it with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink before lifting my stencil and removing the masks from my images. I coloured my images using my alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen, I drew some gold lines across the plant pots also using a metallic chalk marker. I prepared a strip of black card stock with my powder tool applicator, stamped my sentiment from the “Tiny Terrarium” stamp set from Waffle Flower using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn’s white embossing powder. I trimmed down my sentiment and popped it up under my images using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I adhered my panels together and to my card base using Scor-Tape.

Birthday Shaker Card Using Avery Elle’s “Phonomenal” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
This week I’m sharing a shaker card I made for a friend’s birthday using the Avery Elle “Phonomenal” stamp set! We all know how much I love food stamps by now so these were a must have for me!
12
I stamped my images using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink and coloured them with my alcohol markers. I used a white gel pen to add details and highlights before fussy cutting them all out. I used a craft knife to cut slits between the noodles so I could tuck my ingredients in to place and adhered them using Scor-Tape.
34
I cut two panels from white card stock using the Mama Elephant “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts, in the smaller panel I cut the slots out using one of the dies from Avery Elle’s “Focal Point Stripes” Elle-ments. I took the larger of the panels and a piece of white card stock I cut big enough to cover the back of my window, I blended them both with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I distressed these panels with my distress sprayer and cleaned up the excess water.
5
I adhered acetate to the back of my window area with Scor-Tape and used 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape to frame the window to keep the sequins in place. I dusted the inside of the window including the edges of the foam tape with my powder tool applicator to allow the sequins to move around more freely without getting stuck. I chose some iridescent sequins and hearts to fill my shaker and adhered the panel I prepared earlier to trap them inside.
67.jpg
I secured a strip of white card stock in my Misti stamping tool and stamped my sentiment using Gina K’s Amalgam Jet Black ink and trimmed it in to a banner shape.
8.jpg
I adhered my panels together using Scor-Tape, also adhering my images flat to my window panel with it. I popped up my sentiment across the bowl using foam tape before adhering everything to my card base with Scor-Tape.
P29 AE Phonomenal
Thanks for reading lovelies! I won’t be here next week with another card as I’ll be spending time travelling around Scotland to gigs and spending time with my family, but I’ll be back again on May 12th! See you then!

Birthday Card Using Lawn Fawn’s “Be Hap-Pea” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
I’m back this week with another birthday card, I find it handy to always have a couple stashed away in case I forget or I’m too busy to sit down and create one week! This time I’m using the adorable “Be Hap-Pea” stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I love a good punny set!
5
I stamped a couple of the peas out and one of the pods using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I used some of the adorable faces that come with the set to give them different expressions! As I planned for this to be a birthday card I made sure to stamp one wearing a party hat too. I coloured them using my alcohol markers and added some highlights and details with a white gel pen before fussy cutting them all out. I used a craft knife to cut along the middle line of the pea pod so I could adhere three of my peas inside it using Scor-Tape.
12.jpg4
I cut all of my panels from heavy weight white card stock, I used the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant for my background panel. For my focal point on my card I used the smaller scalloped die from the “Framed Tags” Waverly Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant and used one of the circle dies from Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Circles” Honey Cuts to create the window. I used the leaf stamp from the set to stamp leaves all over my background panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink again, coloured them with my alcohol markers and used a white gel pen to add highlights.
36
I used my Misti stamping tool to keep my scalloped panel in place and used my powder tool applicator to prep my panel. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp my sentiment, removing it from my Misti before coating it in clear embossing powder and setting the powder with my heat tool. I cut another scalloped panel from white card stock and blended it with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink, sprayed it with my Distress Sprayer and cleaned up the excess water. I adhered the yellow panel behind my windowed panel using Scor-Tape so my window would have the yellow background.
78
I adhered my peas in the pod and the one slightly behind it with Scor-Tape, but decided to pop the one standing on top of the pod up with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I took my scalloped panel, adhered it to my background panel using foam tape once again so it was slightly raised and adhered to my card base.
P25 LF Be Hap-Pea
Thanks for reading lovelies! Do you always keep a stash of birthday cards at the ready? I have to admit I’ve been pretty poor at keeping a stash myself lately, but I’m slowly building one back up! I’ll see you next week with another card!

Birthday Card Using Heffy Doodle’s “Oh Crumbs” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
It was my mum’s birthday on Friday, she’s just as obsessed with dogs as I am so what better set to use for her card than the adorable “Oh Crumbs” stamp set from Heffy Doodle?! As soon as I saw this set I knew it was a must have, the corgis are just the sweetest and I love how you even have the option for spinner cards with the front and back end of one of them!
12.jpg
Any time I get a new stamp set I always start by stamping the entire thing out so I have plenty to colour before deciding which images I want to work with, I use my Misti to do this as I find it’s quick and easy to stamp an entire set out at once. I coloured up one of the corgis and some of the extras with my alcohol markers. I added some white highlights and details with a gel pen before fussy cutting them out.
3
I used the largest scalloped stitched die from Mama Elephant’s “Framed Tags” Waverly Creative Cuts to cut a panel from heavy weight white card stock. I blended my background over the Altenew “Watercolor Stripes” Stencil, using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink on the outside edges and blending Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink in the centre. I sprayed my panel lightly with my distress sprayer and cleaned up the excess water with a paper towel.
45
I cut a circle from white card stock using Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Circles” Honey Cuts and lightly blended the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I secured my circle in to my Misti and prepared it with my powder tool applicator. I stamped the “Oh Crumbs!” part of my sentiment directly on to my circle, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. While the melted embossing powder was still hot I covered it with embossing powder again and heat set it, to give it a smoother and more raised effect.
6
I cut a small strip of white card stock down to fit my second half of my sentiment and used Versafine Onyx Black ink once again to stamp it, however I didn’t choose to heat emboss this part.
78.jpg
I cut a panel of white card stock using the largest of Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative cuts and blending from the outside in using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I adhered both of my panels together using 1/2″ Scor-Tape. I adhered my circle flat to my panel and arranged my scene on top of it. I used my 1/2″ Scor-Tape to adhere the teapot and sugar bowl before popping my other images up with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I finished up by popping my sentiment strip up with foam tape too and adhering my panel to my card base with Scor-Tape.

Thanks for reading lovelies! Is there a specific stamp category you have a weakness for? For me anything with dogs or food feels like a must have, which made this one impossible to resist for me! I’ll be back next week with another card, see you then!

Cute Card Using Lawn Fawn’s “Let’s Toast” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
This week I’m here to share a cute love/friendship themed card using Lawn Fawn’s “Let’s Toast” stamp set! I love sending these cards to my closest friends and not only my significant other, just to let them know how much I care!
1.jpg2.jpg
I stamped some of the images from the set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my alcohol markers. I added a little extra shading to my toaster using coloured pencil to give it some extra texture as well. I stamped the images’ rosy cheeks with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink, added some highlights and details with a white gel pen before fussy cutting out my images. I used a craft knife to cut a slit in the first toaster slot so I could adhere one of my pieces of toast inside the toaster with ease!
345.jpg
I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to the height I wanted for the base of my panel and cut it with the second largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I cut a panel from white card stock using the same die, lightly blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and splattered it with the same colour for added texture on my background. I cut a thin piece of white card stock to make a border between the patterned paper and my background, I blended it with some Iced Spruce distress oxide ink lightly before adhering all my pieces together.
67.jpg
I adhered my toaster with the toast popping out slightly flat to my panel. I wanted the other slice popped out completely, so I stamped the motion lines with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink above my toaster before popping the other slice of toast and the butter up with some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. For my sentiment I cut down a thin strip of black card stock and prepared it with my powder tool. I stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink, I coated it in Lawn Fawn’s White embossing powder, set it with my heat tool and popped it up with foam tape also. I used the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts to cut a panel of black card stock to frame my scene and adhered everything to my card base.

Simple Halloween Card Using Lawn Fawn “Trick or Treat” set!

Hey lovelies!
I’ve been digging through my craft supplies and pulling out everything fall/Halloween related! If you know me, you know I love a good small stamp that I can make quick and easy backgrounds with! These candy corn from Lawn Fawn are no exception to that – look at their cute little faces! I couldn’t resist making a simple card using them!
1
I trimmed down a panel from white card stock and stamped my candy corn in a random pattern all over using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I usually do these backgrounds with watercolour but I love how vivid my Spectrum Noir pens make the candy corn in this case!
23.jpg
When colouring I usually work from darkest to lightest:
Orange section: CR7 -> OR3 -> OR2
Yellow section: GB4 -> GB3 -> LY1
4.jpg
I added shadows using my GG1 Spectrum Noir marker, and highlights with my white gelly roll pen. I love adding these little details as I feel like it makes them stand out more!
5.jpg
I used the smallest of my Inside Scalloped Circle dies and cut it from white card stock, removing the middle piece that I would be using for my sentiment. I blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink on to my sentiment piece, before blending some Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink around the edges for some dimension. I dried the ink with my heat tool and prepped with my EK Success powder tool applicator. I stamped my sentiment from Newton’s Nook’s “Boo-tiful Night” set using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. I picked out some orange ribbon and backed it with double sided score tape, I adhered that directly to my panel and popped my sentiment up with some foam tape. I backed my panel with double sided score tape and adhered to my card base!

Sprinkled With Love Card Using Some Odd Girl “Sweet & Salty”!

Hey lovelies! ❤ I’m back with another card using the Sweet & Salty stamp set from Some Odd Girl, I personally love this stamp set as the images are such a great size for a focal image! The weather has been heating up more and more lately as summer creeps in, what more perfect time for ice cream?!

~Tools and products used will be listed at the end of this blog post!~

33865948_2120361884658303_7347164441735069696_n.jpg

I created my card base using heavyweight white card stock, and cut a panel of patterned paper from the Pink and Main “Be Brave” 6×6 paper pack to be slightly smaller than my card base. I chose the colourful triangle paper because it reminded me of bunting used for summer parties, how appropriate! I cut some strips from white card stock, I prepped one of the strips with my EK Success Powder tool so the embossing powder would only stick to the area I stamped. I stamped my sentiment “Sprinkled With Love” in Versafine onyx black ink, coated it in Papermania clear embossing powder and set with my heat tool. I then adhered the strips across the patterned paper using double sided foam tape, being careful to line them up with the edges of the patterned paper.

I stamped my ice cream cone images using Ranger Archival jet black ink as I planned to watercolour them this time around. My favourite flavour of ice cream is mint, so I felt I had to put that front and centre! I decided to go with chocolate and vanilla for the other two so they weren’t all competing too much on the card. Once they were dry I fussy cut them out by hand and adhered them together first using my regular tape runner, then adhered them beside my sentiment on my card!

33943289_2120361944658297_1831684469480751104_n.jpg

Thank you for reading lovelies! ❤ This was such a quick card to make, probably one of my quickest! I love how simple yet colourful it is at the same time, and I think it’s perfect to send to a loved one in summer! What’s your favourite flavour of ice cream?!

Sarcastic Coffee Card Using Ink Road Stamps “Stars Hollow”

Hey lovelies! ❤

By now I probably don’t need to explain my love for coffee, or Gilmore Girls for that matter! I made this card yesterday after learning about the Coffee Lover’s blog hop that started on Friday! So of course, being a Lorelai Gilmore on the coffee addiction scale I just HAD to use the Stars Hollow Set from Ink Road Stamps again!

~Tools and products used will be listed at the end of this blog post!~

33540697_2115506188477206_3129293552454991872_n.jpg

I began by treating a piece of white card stock with my EK success powder tool as I knew I was going to emboss my images for this card. I stamped the to go coffee cups in a random fashion in Tsukineko Versafine onyx black ink, coated in clear embossing powder and set them with my heat tool. I used a circle die to cut out the area I wanted with my Sizzix Big Shot machine. I’d never tried watercolouring on my white card stock before, but I didn’t want the texture which my watercolour paper has for this piece. I found that as long as I don’t use too much water, it holds up just fine! I took my Salty Ocean distress ink, spread some on my glass craft mat and sprayed with some water, picking up the colour with a paintbrush I painted the areas around the coffee cups with the ink. I moved on to using some brown, orange and green watercolour paints for the coffee cups themselves and set the circle aside to dry.

I created my card base and cut some matte black paper slightly smaller then adhered it with my regular tape runner. I created a panel with some foiled card stock from DCWV. I prepped some black card stock with my powder tool and chose my sentiments, I chose “coffee please, people are particularly stupid today, I cannot talk to any more of them”, I love a good sassy sentiment! This is an iconic Michelle moment in Gilmore Girls and I can’t read that phrase without reading it in his voice! I stamped my sentiments in Tsukineko Versamark ink and heat embossed it in Altenew Pure White embossing powder, cutting them in to thin strips.

By this time the circle panel was dry, so I took a die from the Avery Elle tag dies and partially die cut it on either side of the circle. I backed the circle with double sided foam tape as I wanted it to add a little extra dimension to the card. I used some blue and white twine and threaded it through the holes on either side of the circle. Adhering the circle to the foiled card stock panel, I wrapped the twine behind the foiled panel and adhered it to the back with some washi tape. I glued my sentiments flat to the card using my regular tape runner, backed the entire panel in foam tape and adhered to my card base.
