Cute Card Using Lawn Fawn’s “Let’s Toast” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
This week I’m here to share a cute love/friendship themed card using Lawn Fawn’s “Let’s Toast” stamp set! I love sending these cards to my closest friends and not only my significant other, just to let them know how much I care!
1.jpg2.jpg
I stamped some of the images from the set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my alcohol markers. I added a little extra shading to my toaster using coloured pencil to give it some extra texture as well. I stamped the images’ rosy cheeks with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink, added some highlights and details with a white gel pen before fussy cutting out my images. I used a craft knife to cut a slit in the first toaster slot so I could adhere one of my pieces of toast inside the toaster with ease!
345.jpg
I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to the height I wanted for the base of my panel and cut it with the second largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I cut a panel from white card stock using the same die, lightly blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and splattered it with the same colour for added texture on my background. I cut a thin piece of white card stock to make a border between the patterned paper and my background, I blended it with some Iced Spruce distress oxide ink lightly before adhering all my pieces together.
67.jpg
I adhered my toaster with the toast popping out slightly flat to my panel. I wanted the other slice popped out completely, so I stamped the motion lines with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink above my toaster before popping the other slice of toast and the butter up with some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. For my sentiment I cut down a thin strip of black card stock and prepared it with my powder tool. I stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink, I coated it in Lawn Fawn’s White embossing powder, set it with my heat tool and popped it up with foam tape also. I used the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts to cut a panel of black card stock to frame my scene and adhered everything to my card base.

Cute Sea Themed Birthday Card Using Avery Elle’s “Sea-prise” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
I thought I’d change it up from all the love themed posts this week and make a birthday card instead. Sea themed stamps are ones I’ve always struggled with, however I have a huge love for sharks and finally gave in to getting the “Sea-prise” stamp set from Avery Elle!
1.jpg
I stamped my images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them using my alcohol markers. I used a white gel pen to add highlights to my images and some texture to my pufferfish before fussy cutting them out.
234.jpg
I cut a panel from white card stock using the largest of Mama Elephant’s “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts and cut a window in the panel using Honey Bee Stamps’ “Double Stitched Circles” Honey Cuts. I stamped the little bubbles all over my panel using Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink to add a little more detail to my panel. Once my ink was completely dry (with no risk of me smudging it!) I stamped my sentiment above my circle window using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
5
I cut a panel from white card stock bigger than my circle window. I blended Broken China Distress Oxide Ink and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on to my card stock, keeping Broken China towards the bottom of it. I sprayed it using my Distress Sprayer and cleaned off the excess water with a paper towel.
6
I backed my white panel with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape and adhered the blue panel behind my window. I added some foam tape to the back of my shark and pufferfish also, adding the shark inside the circle and the pufferfish on the outer edge before adhering my entire panel to my card base.

Simple Watercolour Card Using Concord & 9th’s “Monster Love” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
We’ve shifted from Christmas cards to Valentine’s Day cards in the craft world, so today I thought I’d share with you this simple card using Concord & 9th’s “Monster Love” stamp set! As soon as these cuties were released I knew I had to have them!
4
I stamped my monster and his tummy first using Archival Jet Black ink on some watercolour paper. I masked the monster while I stamped the balloon and string, I used the “love you” sentiment in the balloon this time to fit with the theme.
1.jpg
I used Altenew’s watercolour palette to colour my monster and background. I also dotted some of the paint around the background while it was still damp to add the confetti look to my panel. I finished up by adding some white highlights using a white gel pen before using the Mama Elephant “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts to cut out my panel.
2.jpg3
I cut a sentiment strip and prepped it using my powder tool applicator. I stamped my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. I cut another panel using the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant again to frame my panel, adhered my watercolour panel to it and used 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape to attach my sentiment to my panel. I adhered my panel to my card base and decided to leave it there to keep it simple!

Friendship Card Using Mama Elephant’s “Heart In Bloom” Stamp Set! (With Matching Tags!)

Hello lovelies, Happy New Year!
I hope you’ve all had a fantastic time over the holidays and you’re settling in to 2019 quite nicely, today I wanted to share a friendship card and some matching tags I’ve made using the Mama Elephant “Heart In Bloom” stamp set! How beautiful is this floral stamp? I’m positively in love with it!
1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg
I started by stamping out the large floral heart with the banner in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colouring it with my alcohol markers, I’m so used to colouring floral stamps with my watercolour paints it was refreshing to have a change! Once I had finished colouring I added some highlights and dotted details with a white gel pen and stamped my sentiment in the banner using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I fussy cut the heart out and moved on to my background.
4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg
I cut a panel using the Altenew “Cube Cover” die from white card stock and splattered it with pink metallic watercolour paint. I knew I wanted the colour within the negative space to be neutral as I wanted the floral heart to really pop, so I took Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink and smooshed it on my glass craft mat before spraying it with water. I took another panel of white card stock and placed it on the ink on my craft mat repeatedly, drying between layers until I was happy with the outcome. I cut it down to the same size as my die cut panel and adhered them together.
7.jpg
I popped my floral heart up on my panel using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape and adhered it to my card base. I finished my card off with some Bottle Green Nuvo Crystal Drops before leaving it in a safe place for them to dry for 24 hours.
P12 ME Heart In Bloom
For my matching tags I just took some blank tags I had leftover from last Christmas and stamped each of them with the single flower from the set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured them once again using my alcohol markers and used a white gel pen for the highlights. I stamped the flower on some masking paper and cut it out to cover the flower while I splattered each of the tags with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink and pink metallic watercolour paint. I waited for them to dry before stamping my sentiment down the side using Versafine Onyx Black ink and attached a ribbon to the top of each of them. I finished them off with the Bottle Green Nuvo Crystal drops for that extra touch!

Simple Happy New Year Cards Using Mama Elephant’s “Happy New Year Wishes” Stamp Set!

Hello lovelies!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that 2018 treated you well, now we’re speeding towards 2019 I thought I’d share with you some simple cards I made to welcome in the new year with you all! New Year cards aren’t typically a tradition here in the UK but with Mama Elephant’s “Happy New Year Wishes” stamp set how is a girl supposed to say no?!
1.jpg
I started by making some very simple backgrounds using Distress Oxide Ink and metallic watercolour paint. I cut a panel of white card stock down to the size I needed for this, I smooshed some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink on to my glass crafting mat and sprayed it with water. I placed my card stock down in to the ink in a random fashion and dried it after lifting it each time to get the layered effect, I repeated this process multiple times with my inks and gold metallic watercolour paint. I used Broken China Distress Oxide Ink for the blue example and I did a simple white and gold version with the leftover metallic watercolour paint that I didn’t want to waste after I had finished with my coloured panels!
2.jpg
I cut each of my panels using the largest die from Mama Elephant’s “Framed Tags” Waverly Creative Cuts once they were all completely dry. I used my powder tool applicator over all of my panels, stamped my sentiment in the centre using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it with my heat tool.
3
I cut some black panels from the largest of the “Basic Rectangles” Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant, as these are slightly larger than the dies I used for my front panel I felt they gave it a nice border with the stitched detail!
P11 ME Happy New Year Wishes
I adhered each of my panels to my card bases and finished them off with some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops, leaving them to dry for 24 hours in a safe place undisturbed. I really love the marbled effect you can achieve with this technique!

Thanks for reading lovelies! Happy New Year for a few days time, I hope you all have fun celebrating and I’ll see you next week with another card!

Christmas Card Using Mama Elephant’s “Yappy Woofmas” Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
Christmas is only a couple of days away now, where has this year gone?! I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas (or happy holidays, whichever you prefer!) before the big day! I wanted to revisit which is probably my favourite stamp set I’ve bought for the holidays this year, Mama Elephant’s “Yappy Woofmas” set is just too adorable for words!
1.jpg
I stamped a couple of the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them using my alcohol markers. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and fussy cut them out. I just had to use the cute fluffy dog wrapped in the Christmas lights as he looks like my parents’ dog, as this was their card for this year I couldn’t resist!
2.jpg
I cut a panel from the Mama Elephant “Framed Tags” Waverly Creative Cuts and ink blended it using Broken China and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I distressed it using my distress sprayer and once it was dry I drew small dots using a white gel pen for the snowy effect.
3.jpg
I cut another panel from white card stock using the same die, drew a hill shape across it and cut along the line before adhering it in to place.
4.jpg5.jpg
I prepped my panel using my powder tool applicator, stamped my sentiment from My Favorite Things “Happy Pawlidays” stamp set on the white hillside using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. I popped my images up with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I decided to stamp Santa with his reindeer from Lawn Fawn’s “Winter Skies” stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink to add a little extra to my panel. I cut the larger panel from the “Framed Tags” Creative Cuts and splattered it with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink and some white gold metallic watercolour paint for some shimmer before adhering everything to my card base.

Smiles Across The Miles – Craftin Desert Divas Creative Challenge!

Hey lovelies!
It’s time for another Designer Creative Challenge from Craftin Desert Divas! This time we’re all about sharing the love and sending those smiles across the miles! This is something I like to do often, growing up cards have always held a sentimental value to myself and my family members so I cherish each and every card I receive! Whether you’re sending someone a note to encourage or support them, or even just to say hi! Handmade cards can make a huge impact on those you care about, knowing somebody has taken the time to sit and create something unique just for you really is a special feeling! Today I’m sharing with you a card I made using the ‘Kindness’ and ‘Wishful Thoughts’ stamp sets as I really love using florals for these types of cards!

1.jpg
I started by prepping some watercolour paper with my EK Success powder tool applicator. I stamped my floral image using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder and set it using my heat tool.
2.jpg
I painted my image using watercolour paints then fussy cut it out once it was dry. I went for a super colourful look, after all we want to brighten someone’s day!
3.jpg
I cut a panel using the Crazy Stitched Frame dies from heavy weight white card before stamping some of the smaller images from the Kindness set in a random pattern using Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink to give it a softer look. I cut down a rectangle piece of white card and stamped my sentiment from the Wishful Thoughts set in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I drew little dashes along the border of the rectangle using my ruler and a black pen to add a little extra detail. I positioned my flowers and sentiment towards the centre of my panel and popped them up with some double sided foam tape. I adhered my entire panel to my card base using some double sided tape to finish!

Simple Elegant Cards Using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Dies From The “Flower Garden” Collection!

Hey lovelies! ❤ I’m back with a couple more cards using the Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies, this time from the Flower Garden collection by Sharyn Sowell! I tried to keep these cards similar while changing things up just a little, I’ve been on a white and gold kick lately and these dies fit that style perfectly!

~Tools and products used will be listed at the end of this blog post!~

“Botanical Butterfly”

34306531_2123866050974553_2293815382797975552_n.jpg

34416393_2123866110974547_787100216380620800_n

I created my A2 card base and cut my panel slightly smaller from white heavyweight card stock. I prepped my panel with my EK Success powder tool so my embossing powder would only stick to where I wanted it to. I took a thin embossing folder I got from a magazine a little while ago and coated the inside with Tsukineko Versamark ink (on the side with no ridges! This is so the embossed part would remain mostly white with only a little bit of gold looking slightly distressed on it!). I placed it towards the bottom of my panel and ran it through my die cutting machine before coating it in Papermania gold embossing powder and setting it with my heat tool. Once the embossing had cooled I took some gold peel offs from Love From Lizi and adhered them at the top and bottom of the gold embossed strip to neaten up the edges and give it an extra little shine. I then covered the embossed strip and the bottom of the panel in post it tape to protect it while I splattered some gold and white gold watercolour paint at the top of the panel.

Once the splatter was dry I removed the post it tape and prepped the white space at the bottom of the card with my powder tool once again. I stamped my sentiment in Tsukineko Versafine onyx black ink in the bottom right corner of my panel, covered it in Papermania clear embossing powder and set with my heat tool.

I grabbed some pretty floral pearlescent patterned paper from my stash and used the Botanical  Butterfly etched dies to cut out the body and wings using my die cutting machine (I ran the wings through twice so I could double them up as I knew I wanted some dimension here). Once all my pieces were ready, I took some strong double sided score tape and adhered the bottom wing, body and antenna with it over the left side of the embossed strip. I put some of the same double sided score tape on the top wing (where the wing joins to the butterfly) and used some mini foam squares to pop up the end of the wing to give some dimension. To finish I backed the entire panel in double sided foam tape and adhered to my card base.

“Botanical Dragonfly”

34342585_2123865870974571_6366252026531151872_n.jpg

34189155_2123865964307895_9041766298295468032_n.jpg

Once again I went with an A2 card base with a slightly smaller panel from heavyweight white card stock. This time I protected a strip of my panel along the bottom first and splattered again with gold and white gold metallic watercolour paint. I removed the post it tape once the splatter was dry and went with the gold peel offs on their own, choosing two different widths to work with this time. I placed a two of the medium sizes and placed a thinner one in the middle, to give that same sense of separation I have on the first card.

I used the same floral paper as I did with the butterfly, to cut out the botanical dragonfly using my die cutting machine. Again, I ran the wings through twice only this time I turned my paper over so I could create the wings for both sides of the dragonfly. I adhered the two lower wings to my panel using my double sided tape as I wanted them to be flat, for the two top wings I adhered the part that would be behind the dragonfly’s body with score tape and popped up the ends with mini foam squares. I adhered the dragonfly’s body down the middle of my wings, using score tape directly on top of the wings and a mini foam square to support the back of the dragonfly’s head.

I took some black card stock and prepped it with my heat tool, I stamped my sentiment from Altenew’s Carousel stamp set in Tsukineko Versamark ink, coated it in Altenew pure white embossing powder and set it with my heat tool. I cut the sentiment in to a thin strip using my paper trimmer and adhered it across my dragonfly using the double sided score tape. I then backed the entire panel in double sided foam tape and adhered to my card base to finish up!

Thanks for reading lovelies! I had a lot of fun playing with these dies, I want to say a special thanks to Spellbinders for reaching out to me once again and giving me this wonderful opportunity! The dies themselves are absolutely beautiful and great for making beautiful cards year round, no matter the occasion! The detail in these dies specifically had me in awe! Which of the two dies is your favourite?

Sprinkled With Love Card Using Some Odd Girl “Sweet & Salty”!

Hey lovelies! ❤ I’m back with another card using the Sweet & Salty stamp set from Some Odd Girl, I personally love this stamp set as the images are such a great size for a focal image! The weather has been heating up more and more lately as summer creeps in, what more perfect time for ice cream?!

~Tools and products used will be listed at the end of this blog post!~

33865948_2120361884658303_7347164441735069696_n.jpg

I created my card base using heavyweight white card stock, and cut a panel of patterned paper from the Pink and Main “Be Brave” 6×6 paper pack to be slightly smaller than my card base. I chose the colourful triangle paper because it reminded me of bunting used for summer parties, how appropriate! I cut some strips from white card stock, I prepped one of the strips with my EK Success Powder tool so the embossing powder would only stick to the area I stamped. I stamped my sentiment “Sprinkled With Love” in Versafine onyx black ink, coated it in Papermania clear embossing powder and set with my heat tool. I then adhered the strips across the patterned paper using double sided foam tape, being careful to line them up with the edges of the patterned paper.

I stamped my ice cream cone images using Ranger Archival jet black ink as I planned to watercolour them this time around. My favourite flavour of ice cream is mint, so I felt I had to put that front and centre! I decided to go with chocolate and vanilla for the other two so they weren’t all competing too much on the card. Once they were dry I fussy cut them out by hand and adhered them together first using my regular tape runner, then adhered them beside my sentiment on my card!

33943289_2120361944658297_1831684469480751104_n.jpg

Thank you for reading lovelies! ❤ This was such a quick card to make, probably one of my quickest! I love how simple yet colourful it is at the same time, and I think it’s perfect to send to a loved one in summer! What’s your favourite flavour of ice cream?!
